4 PAINFULLY SIMPLE WAYS TO MAKE MORE TIME FOR YOURSELF AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

SOME SIMPLE HACKS TO SAVE TIME WHICH EQUALS MONEY

1.  Improve Your Focus by Blocking Off Your Time:

As entrepreneurs we tend to multitask over many projects.  We lose focus as we switch from an activity to another and back again.  It’s better to set aside 25-30 minutes on one task with a laser focus.  No checking email, social media or anything else.

2.  Use More Technology:

We all use technology but to use it more wisely as a time saver.  Often technology can be a distraction.  From automating bill payments and invoicing, using your accountant more efficiently, managing calendar appointments and streamlining communications with clients and contractors – there are digital tools and apps for just about everything.

3. Learn to Love Outsourcing and Delegation:

An entrepreneur doesn’t have the know-how to do everything or their time is better spent running their business.  IT management, website development and maintenance, payroll processing and accounting tasks are often best handled by outsourced experienced professionals.

4.  Set Limits for “Time Thieves”:

We love to talk about Facebook and Instagram as the big time-wasters in an entrepreneur’s day, but they pale in comparison to unplanned business activities that consume your precious time.  Last-minute requests for meetings, surprise phone calls and other work-related disruptions can mess with your focus and consume far too much of your day.

Left unchecked you could find yourself spending more time in Zoom meetings than actually completing work for your clients.

When blocking off time to focus on a task, consider shutting of your phone entirely and set other communications apps to “DO NOT DISTURB”.
